Our Mission

To create a faith-filled community of belonging, guidance, and opportunity for young adults transitioning from foster care into adulthood.

The Heart Behind Forever Free Ministry

Founder Lelo Masamba has spent more than 22 years walking alongside young people—through foster parenting, adoption, youth work, chaplaincy, counseling, and helping adults transition toward independent living.

Her vision was strengthened after hearing the story of a woman who experienced abuse, entered foster care, and later aged out with nowhere to turn. After surviving on the streets, that woman encountered faith, healing, and a community that helped change the course of her life. This inspired Lelo to serve young people transitioning from foster care into adulthood.

For Lelo, the story was personal. She knows the impact one caring adult and one stable home can have. Her own mother gave her a foundation of love, learning, and faith; later, Lelo adopted a young man who had lost his mother and watched him grow into a college graduate serving children with autism.

Forever Free Ministry is her response to the question: What if every young person leaving foster care had someone in their corner?

● Our Approach

A Little Guidance. A Lot of Possibility.

There’s a first time for everything, from making dinner to making rent. We’re building Forever Free to be a place where young adults don’t have to arrive with it all figured out. A recipe shared, a plan talked through, a mistake met with patience. That’s the kind of everyday encouragement we want to offer, so each young adult can discover what they’re capable of and begin shaping a future of their own.
